Victory Paving recently completed a full-depth asphalt road renovation project in Anza, California. The area’s rural terrain and shifting soil conditions required a careful approach to achieve a smooth, long-lasting surface that will stand up to heavy use and changing weather. Our team worked closely with the property owner to rebuild the road from the ground up, addressing long-term performance and improving drainage across the site.

Project Scope
Anza is a small mountain community located in Riverside County, known for its open landscapes and elevated terrain. Roads in this region face unique challenges, from steep grades to runoff that can erode and damage asphalt over time. The client reached out to Victory Paving after noticing ongoing issues with standing water and surface cracking. They needed a durable, low-maintenance road that would serve both residents and local traffic for years to come.

Work Completed
This project involved a complete reconstruction of the existing roadway. We began by milling the worn asphalt surface and evaluating the base conditions. Once the old material was removed, our crew regraded the base layer to correct drainage problems and eliminate uneven areas that had developed over time. Proper grading was critical to the success of the project, ensuring water now flows away from the road rather than pooling on the surface.
After the subgrade was properly shaped and compacted, we installed approximately 2,800 tons of hot mix asphalt. The new surface was paved at a uniform thickness of three inches, providing a smooth ride and a strong structure capable of handling consistent vehicle traffic. The final result is a road that not only looks great but also performs reliably under everyday use.

Project Outcome
This project highlights Victory Paving’s ability to handle complex grading and full-depth reconstruction work with precision and care. By rebuilding this road from the base up, we delivered a long-term solution that enhances safety, drainage, and overall performance for the Anza community.
